Board of Assessors Meeting Pace 2 <br /> Notice of Resignation of Data Collector continued <br /> David Bailey informed that the newspaper advertisement to <br /> fill the Data Collector ' s position will appear this weekend. <br /> lnterviewinc and Hiring Qualified Job Applicants Who Reside <br /> in Mashpee <br /> Robert DeLory initiated lengthy discussion. David Bailey <br /> informed that it has always been Mashpee ' s policy to hire <br /> qualified applicants who reside in Mashpee. Mr . DeLory mentioned <br /> that his daughter had applied for a part-time Accounting <br /> Department position but was not hired. He has noticed over the <br /> years that many recommendations by the Personnel Board have leen <br /> overlooked by the Board of Selectmen they hire who they <br /> want. <br /> Chairman Porter stated that he is quite annoyed by this <br /> procedure; he will not hesitate to view his opinion to the Board <br /> of Selectmen should a similar matter arise. <br /> Board Action on selection of Consultant for ashpee ' <br /> Revaluation of Commercial Properties <br /> Chairman Porter .read aloud M `* Robert Whritenour ' s letter of <br /> March 24 , 1995 , regarding the rating of "advantageous" and <br /> "highly advantageous"for the two contractors who submitted their <br /> bids . used on the material submitted and the requirements of <br /> Chapter 30 B. the Board of Assessors may award this to the <br /> "highly advantageous" if it is clear that additional experience <br /> and qualifications of this particular firm will more than justify <br /> the minor cost difference. <br /> Vice Chairman DeLory made motion that the Board award the <br /> contract for Revaluation of Comnmercial Properties to MMC, the <br /> highly advantageous bidder; Kenneth Porter made second the <br /> motion; motion passed; majority decision. <br /> Kenneth Porter informed that Leslie Greig had expressed his <br /> complete agreement to the award of contract to MMC. <br /> State Program to Promote Business and Industrial Growth <br /> David Bailer informed that he had attended a meeting last <br /> week with members of the Board of Selectmenr the Executive <br /> 4 <br /> Secretary, the Industrial Development Committee from Mashpee, and <br /> r <br />
