i <br /> Board of Assessors Meeting Pae 3 <br /> Hearing on Appeal. for Abatement of Real Property Taxes <br /> Abatement A2plication # - Map 132 ,Parcel 9 , Unit 8016 <br /> Morton and Margaret Grealish, owners continued <br /> Chairman Porter pointed out that the subject property was <br /> abated two years acro . . . it is down to $325 , 000 . Mrs . Grealish <br /> stated that #8015 is assessed at $323 , 000 . Robert DeLory pointed <br /> out that the other nearby property owners have not filed <br /> complaints . Mrs , Grealish stated that all of these owners are <br /> very wealthy and probably have no cause for complaints . She is <br /> having a problem paying her property taxes of $5 , 000 . <br /> Lengthy discussion followed. Mrs . Grealish referenced the <br /> assessment of #8008. David Bailey informed that a change was <br /> made upon inspection M part of the inspection included <br /> changes that Assessing felt were appropriate. she complained <br /> that her taxes are much too high . . she does not even have a <br /> beach within walking distance . . the beach at Promitory Point <br /> has been closed off . . , the other beaches must be paid for <br /> annually, $600 to $boo . <br /> Mrs . Greallsh asked The Board for Its fair consideration. <br /> Chairman Porter stated that It will take the matter under <br /> advisement and inform her of the decision as soon as possible. <br /> She thanked Board Members and David Bailey for their time and <br /> consideration.
