Board of Assessors Meeting Pace <br /> Uj2date on Progress of U12coming Revaluation continued <br /> assessments of $198,000 are probably the lowest. Assessing has <br /> always been "real close to the money" with Bayview Condominium <br /> values. Kenneth Porter informed that he was told of a $230 ,000 <br /> Bayview sale that was assessed at $150 ,000 - $180,, 000 . <br /> something like that. David Bailey was of the opinion there <br /> recently was a large sale at Bayview, but he assured that <br /> Assessing has valued the property correctly. Be stated there has <br /> never been a problem with the value of Bayview Condominiums . <br /> David Bailey informed The Board that there has been <br /> $400, 000 sale in Mausho . The house has been rebuilt during the <br /> last furs years. Lengthy discussion followed. Mr. Bailey <br /> informed that the property close to it recently sold for about <br /> $860 , 000 not really in Maushop near Rock Landing, on <br /> the waterfront, the closest house to Mausho . He also informed <br /> that the Chinese Family sold their property on Cross Street for <br /> about $600, 000 . More discussion followed. <br /> Vice Chairman Greig questioned if Mr. Christopher Burden has <br /> paid property taxes to Mashpee on the Flag Pond property assessed <br /> at $2 Million. David Bailey stated that he will look at a <br /> printout of taxes outstanding. Mr. Bailey informed that when he <br /> spoke with Mr . Joseph Cunis a► few weeks acro, from now on, all the <br /> money that Mr. Brown receives must be set aside for taxes . New <br /> eab ry Company controls the 50 Maushop Condominiums that are <br /> being rented out; as of the first of this month, all of the <br /> rental income will go toward taxes, <br /> Vice Chairman Greig stated that Mr. Brown has a law suit <br /> which he has deferred once again . . he has gone through <br /> Superior Court . . . it is to be "Mortgagee in Possession" . This <br /> is why Mr. Burden does not pay taxes on the property. M . Bailey <br /> expressed opinion there must have been a side agreement, as the <br /> taxes are being paid. Mr . Greig agreed; he informed that there <br /> is an envelope whiich the lawyers are being, pressured to open. <br /> Discussion followed. <br /> David Bailey ' s Schoolin <br /> David Bailey asked The Board if he should tale the schooling <br /> as vacation time, He did check around and found that The Town <br /> does not require this .
