Board of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> Update on Progress of Upcoming Revaluation (continued) <br /> David Bailey also informed The Board that he spoke on <br /> Thursday with Ms . Sue Moynihan of the D.O.R. ; he gave her <br /> progress report. Mr. Bailey made comment that she was not very <br /> much help to hip, as suspected. He explained that she had <br /> dropped in around 2 : 00 p.m. and he had to quickly put together <br /> some data. He stated that he will try to have her cone back in <br /> about two weeks when he will have a much letter idea of the <br /> progress of key issues after he spends a geek out in the field <br /> looking at some of the "oddball" properties . <br /> Mr. Bailey informed Board Members that at this point, <br /> everything seems to be going along quite well . . no Haig <br /> surprises ! ! At present, we have everything at a reasonable <br /> level , relative to each other . concerning the quartiles , all of <br /> the elements are within Everything is in the 91 to 98 range. <br /> Upon question from Vice Chairman Greig, David Bailey stated that <br /> the low quartile is now at 9 , which includes all of the bank <br /> sales , When most of these- are dropped, the figure should go <br /> right down to 94 . <br /> David Bailey explained that he has leen working with 1 <br /> months of sales . He ran the data with one year ' s worth of sales; <br /> this did not change the figures by more than 1 percent. vice <br /> Chairman Greig asked if this current data included the 12 houses <br /> that are for sale on Poppponesset Island. Mr. Bailey stated that <br /> it does not ; however, he did research the area and found that the <br /> dock on Block ' 106 , Lot 8. owned by Mr. William Irwin, the blind <br /> taxpayer who had a hearing earlier this evening rega din his <br /> annual. Blind Exemption, was indeed on dry land as Mr. Irwin had <br /> stated. Mr . Bailey 'agreed with Mr. Greig.' s comments ; he pointed <br /> out that a normal motor boat could not be left at many- of these <br /> area properties with docks. These properties are assessed as <br /> prune waterfront with deep Mater access . * & <br /> the values krill <br /> have to tae changed. Short discussion followed. <br /> David Bailey informed The Board. that all the information <br /> gathered to date looks good. He stated that there will be some <br /> big changes at the high end. He still has not reconciled a few <br /> of the "oddball" areas. <br /> Kenneth Porter asked about the disposition of condominiums <br /> with good waterfront. Mr. Bailey stated that the only two <br /> Mashpee has are maushop and Bayview; Bayview is holding Its <br /> value. Mr , Porter informed that someone had made statement to <br /> hien about some sales at Bayview -.n the $200 ,000 range that are <br /> assessed much lower, David Bailey disagreed; he stated that <br />
