Board of Assessors Meeting Page Board Action on A a eal.s for Real. Property Abatements Abatements Granted (continued) Leslie Greig made motion The Board accept the List of Abatements Granted as read into the Record; Kenneth Porter made second the motion ; motion passed; unanimous decision. The List of Abatements Granted was accepted by The Board. Status of Abatement Applications David Bailey informed The Board that two applications are in process of being deemed denied. Upon question from Chairman DeLory,, Mr. Bailey explained that the owners withdrew their appeals after; he spoke. with therm. In order to avoid confusion, he feels they should not be seat a formal notice stating that The Board voted to deny. Vice Chairman Greig informed that three applications have not yet been acted upon;* Board Members will have to discuss these properties all are located in Popponesset. The application numbers are 32 , 39 , and 58. Board of Assessors Upcoming Meeting schedule Kenneth Porter informed {that the next scheduled regular meeting is Tuesday, April. 9th at 6 :00 p.m. Short discussion followed. David Bailey informed Board Members that he probably will {not be able to attend; he does have an out-of-town meeting to attend on April 10th and 11th. Leslie Greig informed that he will be in Maryland over the Easter holiday and will not be able to attend the meeting on April 9th. Mr. Bailey suggested that a daytime meeting could be scheduled, if necessary, to vote on the remaining abatement appeals. All Board Members expressed agreement. The Board cancelled the scheduled regular meeting of April 9 , 1936 . It will meet next, as scheduled, on the Tuesday of April 23 , 1996 , at 6 : 00 p.m. Assessing Department ' s Upcoming Dove David Bailey informed that the Department will be roving into a trailer at the rear of Town Hall within the next few weeks while Its new office space is being prepared.
