i NOTE: The Mashpee Board of Assessors did not hold a Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 4 . 1996 , t. MASBPEE BOARD OF ASSESSORS MINUTES of JUNE 11, 1996 PRESENT: LESLIE M. GREIGr CHAIRMAN ' KENNETH A, PORTER r VICE CHAIRMAN MARCIA R, KINGr CLERK DAVID A. BAILEY, DIRECTOR of ASSESSING The regular meeting was held in the Assessing Department ' s temporary officer a trailer located at the rear of Ma hpee Town Hall , Mashpee, Massachusetts . This site is being used while Torn Nall is being renovated and Assessing ' s new office location i being prepared. The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Grcig at 6 : 25 .rte. MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS: Minutes of The Meeting of May.:14 , 1996 Board Members and David Bailey reviewed the Minutes. There was no discussion, nor were there any corrections . Nice Chairman Porter rade motion The Board accept The Minutes of The Meeting of May 14 , 1996 as printed; Marcia King made second the motion; motion passed; unanimous decision. The Minutes were accepted by The Board. NEW BUSINESS: Assessin2 Department ' s Computer Problems ,David Bailer informed that the File Transfer for the Property Tax Bills did not go through properly for the ffirst time- it has been redone and appears to be fine. In addition, Assessing ' s computer system shut itself down today just as the Department wr.s closing 0 the first time this has ever happened! ! Upon comment from Chairman Greig concerning proper air conditioning, Mr. Balley expressed feeling that the cause may be the heat and humidity. He explained that the system did boot itself back up after it rested and is presently restoring all of its contents . However, the Department had been restoring the system' s contents earlier today because the computer system began to perform in a strange manner,
