r <br /> I <br /> Hoard of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of June ll. , 1996 continued <br /> T <br /> Marcia King made motion The Board accept The Minutes of <br /> The Meeting of June ll , 1996 as written; Kenneth Porter made <br /> second the motion; motion passed; unanimous decision. The <br /> Minutes were accepted by The Board. <br /> NEW/OLD BUSINESS <br /> o pnesset values <br /> David bailey stated that he would like to set a date to <br /> resolve this matter. Although this is not a top priority, he <br /> would like to get it out of the way because he and Ms . Susan <br /> Collum will be going out to the . boat yards early in July <br /> regarding boat registrations . Discussion followed. Chairman <br /> Greig stated that he would like a date set before July 12th. <br /> Assessing Department ' s Computer Problems <br /> I <br /> David Bailey informed that the computer problems have <br /> Continued to exist, -and there has also been a telephone line <br /> problem these past two weeks . A computer repairman said that <br /> Assessing ' s rain computer system will have to be replaced <br /> the hard drive is not stable enough. The Department was hoping <br /> to obtain a new printer with the budget ' s surplus money but <br /> it will be used instead to purchase a .new system. vice Chairman <br /> Porter initiated lengthy discussion. <br /> Assessing Department ' s File Systems <br /> Chairman Greig informed that a contractor has checked <br /> the steel joists in the basement of mashpee Town Half. . It <br /> appears they can support 1.65 pounds per square foot load. He <br /> explained that the particular file systems David Bailey had <br /> researched can be used. Mr, Greig expressed hope that the <br /> Assessing Department ' s surplus money would be used to purchase <br /> these file systems . Mr. Bailey expressed feeling this may not be <br /> possible in the immediate future because of the Department ' s <br /> computer problems. <br /> Payment of Taxes - Cape Cod Coffee <br /> David bailey informed that he and Ms . Susan Collum met <br /> with the spokesman for the - Cape Cod Coffee Company. It received <br /> a grant. paid Its taxes , then wanted an abatement! ! The <br /> spokesman said he had a few appraisals done; Mr. Bailey reviewed <br />
