David Bailey informed that Mr. Dan Hostetter, <br /> alone with many other Taxpayers , paid off their tax titles during <br /> the current year . . . the total amount is over $ . 5 Million. <br /> Chairman Greig informed that Mr. Chris Burden paid off many of <br /> his tax titles this year as well . . . the total amount is about <br /> $396 Thousand. Mr. Bailey pointed out that Free Cash now has <br /> about $2 . 9 Million. All expressed agreement that A sessing ' <br /> current financial situation is in good- shape. Mr. Porter pointed <br /> out that these funds will be sorely needed during the next few <br /> years to provide relief to Taxpayers. All expressed agreement, <br /> Clause 22E Veterans Exemption <br /> Chairman Greig rade reference to a particular Applicant <br /> who recently came into Assessing to reapply for the exemption. <br /> Mr. Greig questioned the statins of this matter. <br /> David Bailey informed that he had been searching for <br /> the application. The Applicant furnished - Mr . Bailey with his <br /> discharge information and a letter that he had brought in several <br /> years ago when Bob DeLory was here. The lengthy letter, not from <br /> a doctor, was from the Veterans Administration; it states that <br /> the Applicant has a mental disability and is incapable of working <br /> . In no uncertain terms . The Applicant does not want to give <br /> p this letter, and Mr. Bailey does not blame him. He did have a <br /> lengthy discussion -with the Applicant and feels strongly that the <br /> information presented is sufficient this is a very unusual <br /> circumstance. vice Chairman Porter expressed agreement.
