C harirman Greig <br /> expressed opinion that Ms. Collum may not have had to contact the <br /> D.O.R. if she had first searched deeper into the matter. David <br /> Bailey made comment that it did no harm to ask for it. Mr, Greig <br /> then ' noted the letter also states that submission of an <br /> Applicant ' s tax return may be required to verify there were no <br /> employment earnings. <br /> More discussion followed concerning previous D.o.i . <br /> correspondence and a more recent D.O.R. letter to Ms , Collum that <br /> Mr, Bailer views as a 11softening" on requirements for • <br /> I <br /> information. Mr. Greig requested a copy of that recent letter; <br /> he feels Ms. Collum should have submitted a copy to The Board. <br /> Chairman Greig expressed strong opinion that the only <br /> I sure wain The Board can find out if an Applicant has not earned <br /> wades from employment is to review the Applicant ' s income tam <br /> return. <br /> Board of Assessors Meetin2 Schedule <br /> David Bailey informed Board Members that he will not be <br /> able to attend the next regular Board Meeting scheduled for <br /> I <br /> e ternbe 24th. - He will be attending a seminar in Worcester on <br /> that date and will be learning Monday evening, September 23rd. He <br /> pointed out that there will be no urgent matters at that time for <br /> review and action by The Board; he expressed opinion this meeting <br /> could be cancelled, and the next meeting could be held on October <br /> 8th. short discussion followed. <br /> Chairman Greig and Vice Chairman Porter both agreed to <br /> cancel the September 24th meeting . Mr. Porter expressed opinion <br /> that next month' s regular meeting- schedule of October 8th and <br /> 22nd, and also a meet-in on October 1st, should be sufficient. <br /> David Bailey pointed out that Town Meeting begins on Monday <br /> evening , October 7th Town Meeting may possibly continue the <br /> next evening. Upon question from Chairman Greig, Mr, Bailey <br /> informed that the Recap data will . not be reader until the last <br /> ,reek of November; he is currently reviewing the residential sales <br /> I data . . . this should take another week or two to- complete. <br /> Be explained that the data signals ghat neighborhoods meed work, <br /> and he will discuss this data at length with Board Members . <br />
