GREIG, CHAIRMAN <br /> KENNETH A. PORTER, VIE CHAIRMAN <br /> MARCIA R. KING, CLERK <br /> DAVID A. BAILEY, DIRECTOR of ASSESSING <br />-t <br /> The regular meeting was held in the Assessing Department ' s <br /> new offices located in the newly renovated Torn Hall , Ma hpee, <br /> Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Greig <br /> at 6 :07 p.m. <br /> Chairman Greig informed that Marcia ding called hien to <br /> notify she was traveling from Boston and would be present for <br /> this Board Meeting. <br /> MINUTES of THE MEETINGS <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of February 1.1 , 1997 <br /> Board Members reviewed "the minutes" . There were no <br /> corrections, nor was there any discussion. <br /> Vice Chairman Porter made motion The Board accept The <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of February 11 , 1997 , as printed; Leslie <br /> Greig rade second the motion; motion passed; majority decision. <br /> The Minutes were accepted by The Board. <br /> NEWT BUSINESS: <br /> Keeling Track of Board Action on Current Abatement <br /> Applications <br /> Vice Chairman Porter initiated discussion. Chairman <br /> Greig informed that he has requested David Bailey to initiate a <br /> system of keeping track of Personal Property Abatements in order <br /> to avoid repetition of tax billing in the higher,original amount. <br /> David Bailey informed that he has asked Susan to set <br /> ` aside these abatements in a separate folder- to be }sept In front <br /> of the Personal Property File, Upon question from Mr. Greig , Mr. <br /> Bailey explained that the most recent abatements will be changed <br /> manually in the computer to avoid further billing. <br />
