ti <br /> y <br /> ` Board of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> Board Action on Abatement AJ221ication for Use of Property a <br /> Agricultural Land - Map 110 , Lots 94-95-96 <br /> Chairman Greig introduced the Notice of Action by the <br /> Board of Assessors dated March 11 , 1997 , on the Abatement <br /> Application of Mr . and Mrs . Joseph Martin for an Agricultural. <br /> Exemption . Copy of Notice of Action, fully executed by Board <br /> members , is attached to These Minutes . ) The notice of Action <br /> states that the Assessors voted to disallow the application <br /> because the property does not contain at least 5 acres of <br /> actively devoted agricultural land. <br /> David Bailey explained that the property consists of <br /> just over 5 acres , but a total of 5 acres is not being used for <br /> agricultural purposes. Discussion followed . Mac. Bailey informed <br /> that the Owners are trying to purchase some adjolning property <br /> that would qualify the subject property for agricultural use and <br /> an agricultural. exemption. They were supposed to submit a plan <br /> of the area to Assessing but have not done so to mate. <br /> *Marcia King arrived . The Abatement Application for an <br /> Agricultural Exemption was fully explained to her. <br /> Vice Chairman Oorter rade motion the Board deny the <br /> Abatement Application on Map ll , Lots 9 -95-3 , because the <br /> property does not contain at least 5 acres of actively devoted <br /> agricultural land; Leslie Greig made second the motion; motion <br /> passed; unanimous decision. The Agricultural Exemption was <br /> denied by the Board. <br /> Board Action on Personal. Property Abatement App l.ications <br /> Abatements Approved <br /> Chairman Greig presented the Dist of ' 1.39 ' <br /> Personal. Property Abatement Applications Abated in Partial on <br /> March 11 , 1937 . Mr. Greig informed for The Record that the List <br /> :. of Abatements Approved consists of one page; the List begins with <br /> Application #11P i William Bannic ; it ends with Application #48P - <br /> AE Ferragamo; the List' totals 10 Abatements Approved. A copy <br /> i <br /> of the List of Abatements Approved, fully executed by Board <br /> Members , is attached to These Minutes . ) <br /> Vice Chairman Porten made motion the Board accept <br /> the List of FY1997 Personal. Property Abatement Applications <br /> Abated in Partial on March 11. , 1337 , as presented and explained <br /> by Chairman Greig; Marcia King made second the motion; motion <br /> passed; unanimous decision. The List was accepted by the Board. <br />
