He questioned the status of David Bailey ' s brochures. <br /> Ir. Bailey informed he just completed proofing the final <br /> versions of three brochures that should be out next week . . <br /> one on motor vehicle Excise , one on Abatement Procedures , and one <br /> on Elderly Exemptions and Exemptions in General . upon question <br /> from Marcia Kine , David Bailey explained that he may want to make <br /> a booklet of pertinent assessment Information that could be <br /> mailed out with the questionnaire to new Property Owners . <br /> Chairman Greig referred to Item 1. , field review land. <br /> He pointed out that this project I ongoing at present. David <br /> I <br /> Bailey verified that i is . vice Chairman Porter questioned <br />� <br /> neighborhood assignments . Ir . Bailey explained they are the <br /> economic neighborhoods that we use to price neighborhoods <br /> there are economic factors used to price different geographic <br /> areas. Chairman Greig questioned the status of the Listor ' s <br /> field review. David Bailey explained that Steve is making <br /> satisfactory progress; he has a list of every property with <br /> property record card particulars that he check off during <br /> reinspection, [Upon comment by vice Chairman Porter, Mr. Bailey <br /> informed that gaining access into homes is difficult any time of <br /> the year. Discussion followed. <br /> Vic e Chairman Porter questioned if the Listor ' s job is <br /> overburdening . Mr . Bailey explained that he has three years to <br /> complete all 6 ,000 properties and o of the Listor ' s time <br /> each year ' is devoted to this project. Volunteers are acceptable <br /> if they are fine-tuned to all aspects and assist the Listor by <br /> riding in the same vehicle and inspecting the same property as <br /> the Listor, [Upon question from Chairman Greig, Mr. Bailey <br /> informed that if Assessing wants to hire an assistant to the <br /> Listor, subcontractors rust bid. . another new employee cannot <br /> e hired as an assistant . . . guidelines for these procedures <br /> are found in the State General Laws. <br /> [upon question from Marcia Kind if David Bailey and <br /> Susan Collum could reinspect some of the properties rather than <br /> hiring additional staff , fir. Bailey informed they have other <br /> priorities that prevent then from assisting Steve in this <br /> project. He is not intent on hiring more staff , but feels that a <br /> qualified volunteer would be acceptable to assist the Listor. <br /> Chairman Greig introduced short discussion on wilding <br /> permits regarding new wetland restrictions . price Chairman Porter <br /> expressed opinion these new restrictions are confusing . <br />
