i NOTE: The Mashpee Board of Assessors did not hold a � Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 2 , 1997 . MASHBEE BOARD F ASSESSORS MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 9y 1997 PRESENT: LESLIE M, GREIG, CHAIRMAN KENNETH A. PORTER, VICE CHAIRMAN MARCIA R. KING, CLERK DAVID A* BAILEY, DIRECTOR OF ASSESSING The regular meeting was held in the Assessing Department ' s new offices located in the newly renovated Town Ball , Mashpee, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Greig at 6 : 02 p.m. MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS: Minutes of The Meetin2 of June 24 , 1997 Board members and David Bailey reviewed "the minutes . " There was no discussion, nor were there any corrections . Vice Chairman Porten rade motion The Board accept The Minutes of The Meeting of June 24 , 1997 as printed; Martis Kind rade second the notion; motion passed; unanimous decision. The Minutes were accepted by The Board. ESLD BUSINESS Update on Stephen Ewan is Medical Problem David Bailey informed that Steve handed in his resignation today. The medical information requested from him was never received in a timely manner, and it became apparent that it would not be received. Short discussion followed. David Bailey also informed that the Listor ' sposition � has become vacant. He has not yet spoken with Marilyn Farren since Steve gave her his resignation this morning, nor dict Steve come into the Assessing Department to talk with Mr, Bailey. Upon question by Chairman Greig , Mr. Bailey affirmed that he did fill out and submit the "position vacancy form" and did request it be posted as soon as possible. Chairman Greig made comment that Steve was not fulfilling the office routine, vice Chairman Porter made comment that Assessing was very careful to select the best roan for the job. David Bailey rade comment that it was a perplexing situation but it is over! ' I i
