1, Ok <br /> Board of Assessors Executive Session Page 2 <br /> BOARD ACTION ON APPEAL FOR ABATEMENT OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES UNDERL <br /> AUSE 18 - Ma 28 , Lot 66 - Owner Peter Swenson <br /> (continued) <br /> Vice Chairman Porter made motion The Board abate $250 for <br /> the interest portion of Pete ' Swenson' s 1997 and 1998 overdue <br /> taxes; Marcia King rade second the motion; motion passed; <br /> unanimous decision. <br /> David Bailey informed that the $250 abatement granted will <br /> be credited first to the interest portion of Mr. Swenson ' s 1997 <br /> overdue taxes, Marcia King expressed opinion that if Peter <br /> Swenson continues to experience a problem next year with timely <br /> tax payments as well as payments on the interest portion of <br /> overdue taxes, he should be encouraged to file another abatement <br /> application under clause 18 . Mr. Bailey expressed opinion his <br /> suggestion and the Board ' s `action is a demonstration of faith in <br /> Mr. - Swenson. Kenneth Porter again made comment that this action <br /> may help him. Leslie Greig expressed agreement; he made <br /> reference to the great progress of - a 11 three prior applicants <br /> under Clause 18 to whom Board Members had granted abatements. <br /> ADJOURNMENT: <br /> There being . no further business before The Board for <br /> discussion, Kenneth Porter made motion The Board adjourn the <br /> Executive Session; Marcia King made second the notion; motion <br /> passed; unanimous decision.
