There are 10,800 taxable parcels in Mashpee, not including exempts. There are <br /> 11,700 parcels, not counting personal property accounts. Including all taxable <br /> accounts, there are about 15,000. <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed that the Board of Assessors recommend to <br /> the Board of selectmen the adoption of a single tax rate, as opposed to a split tax rate <br /> between the Water District and the Town. <br /> . A letter of resignation has been received from data collector Rob Berend. His <br /> position will be posted in the 1/25/07 Sunday Cape Cod Times as well as the Internet. <br /> . Amelia Bingham, a Wampanoag tribal member ber ho has been shunned by the tribe, i <br /> suing the Town of Mashpee for turnover of all Mashpee land to the tribe. A letter from <br /> Ms. Bingham was received by the Assessors office requesting records of every property <br /> owner in the Torn. Jason streebel provided IVIS. Bingham with a data disk containing <br /> the information she.requested, in exchange for a check for$25 to cover the required disk <br /> fee. The Assessing Office has received a letter from the Tribe listing the properties in <br /> town that they do wish to putt into their trust. The list does not include any personal <br /> property. Mason Streebel has forwarded this letter to the DOFF for their handling. <br /> . Veterans Exemption Request <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed by the Board to deny a Veterans <br /> Exemption{request from Patricia Mullane, because she is not a beneficiary of the , <br /> trust. <br /> . senior Exemption Request <br /> . A motion was made, seconded and passed by the Board to deny a senior Exemption <br /> request from Henry Christiansen because his assets exceed the allowable limit. <br /> . 8 of 68 Request + <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed bpi the Board to approve the request by <br /> the Assessing ice to request permission from the DOR to mate real estate taxes <br /> on Town property at 173 Monomoscoy Road. <br /> 8. Chapter 61- Agricultural chapter Land Application. F <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed by the Board to.approve the application <br /> from Chop Chaque Cranberries, Inc. to continue their exemption for FY '09. <br /> . Chapter 1-B recreational chapter Land Applications. <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed by the Board to approve the <br /> application from Carol Goldberg to continue her exemption for FY '09. <br /> - A motion was made, seconded and passed by the Board to approve the <br /> application from AJL La Cava Fealty Trust II to continue their exemption for F ' 9. <br /> ERCT MEETING . <br /> The next meeting was scheduled for December 19, 200 7, at 6:40 PM.
