Jason Streebel reminded the Board that Monday, May 5, 2008 is the Town Meeting, <br /> and urged all Board members to attend. The actual voting for Board of Selectmen <br /> members up for re-election will be the following.Saturday, May 10, 2008. <br /> . Jason Streebel stated that his next set of goals will include organizing all the splits <br /> and combines and other map changes that need to be rade, with all new parcels <br /> created for F ' g, and have the information to the GIS coordinator'in time for him to get <br /> the maps done on time this year. <br /> . Jason Streebel distnbuted'to the Board members the City and Town Newsletter, put <br /> out by the Mass. DOR Division of Local Seri : . The !Newsletter includes basic but <br /> interesting information about the Appellate Tax Board. One of the !tears mentioned is the <br /> fact that the burden of proof lies on the taxpayer to prove that the Assessor~has over- <br /> assessed his property. <br /> . ,iso ,Streebel reported that one 2007 appellate tax case has been moved to July, <br /> '08. There will be other ATB cases for'08 corning up later in the year. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> No old business. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Apllctlons Deemed Denied <br /> 1. Elizabeth Gerst 1, 17 D Widow's Exemption application. <br /> 2. Paul Lumsden, 41 a Elderly Exemption application. <br /> motion vias made, seconded and passed to deny the above two listed exemption <br /> applications for failure to supply the information requested. <br /> Paul Andrews reported receipt of a letter of thanks to the Board of Assessors from <br /> Marilyn Bin ievvicz, 170 Captains Row, thanking the Board of Assesso for the revised <br /> assessment of her property. <br /> Real Estate Property Abatement Applications Denied (see Attachment A <br /> motion was made, seconded and passed to deny the 22 read estate property <br /> abatement applications as listed on the attached Report 425, using the signature <br /> } stamps, beginning with the name Ohima, Inc. and ending with the nerve Siegel, Darya Z. <br /> Real Estate Property Abatement Applications Granted (See Attachment B <br /> A motion was made, seconded and passed to grant the 11 read estate property <br /> abatement applications as fistid on the attached Report#25, using the signature <br /> stamps, beginning with the mire Dempsey, Patrick and ending with the naive Traill, <br /> Susan. <br />
