City or Town Aid to Elderly and
Disabled Taxation Fund. The Board members discussed the possibility of the establishment of
a llashpee Aid to Elderly and Disabled Taxation Fuad for individuals who do not otherwise qualify
for tax exemptions. Donations to such a fund would come from Mashpee taxpayers who would
voluntarily donate an amount not less than $1.00 along with tax their bills, to be deposited into a
special account in the general treasury and would be in the custody of the Treasurer. A taxation
aid committee would be established, consisting of the Chairman of the Board of Assessors, the
Town Treasurer and three Mashpee residents to be appointed by the BOS• This committee
would adopt the rules and regulations to identify the recipients of such aid.
