f <br /> F <br /> i <br /> . Director of Assessing Annual Review iew dated 11/20/08. <br /> Paul Andrews reported on Mr. streebel's annual review, submitted by Rene Reed and <br /> Joyce Mason. The review indicates that, among other categories, Mr. Streebel excelled <br /> in organizational skills, personal supervision, customer service} and decision.-making. <br /> The Board congratulated Jason Streebel on his outstanding performance evaluation. <br /> Gregg Fraser, Clerk <br /> Listing of Proposed Property Abatements. <br /> Gregg Fraser reminded Mason Streebel of his request to be provided with the addresses <br /> of any proposed property abatements if the proposed reduction is more than 10%, so <br /> that he can review the properties in advance of the BOA meetings in order to be better <br /> prepared to vote on the proposed abatement exemption applications. <br /> DIRECTOR OF ASSESSING REPORT <br /> 1. Jason Streebel reported that special budget cuts will be re-evaluating what is spent <br /> n dues and memberships for the BOA and the Assessing Office staff, including dues for <br /> the M110 and MAAO. Dues are per person per year, and BOA members are <br /> welcome to continue their membership in the organizations by paging the dues out of <br /> pocket. <br /> 2. DOR Workshop. Jason Streebel reported on a free workshop sponsored by the <br /> * <br /> DOR for all the towns on the Cape, scheduled for 2123109 at the Wareham Town Hall, <br /> from g AM to 12 Noon. The purpose of the workshop is to provide information as to <br /> i ghat is coming up in 2010/2011, with suggestions as to how best to get through <br /> revaluation cycles, etc. Jason Streebel stated that he plans to attend this workshop and <br /> invited all Board members to attend. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> No old business. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Transfer of Overlay Account Funds <br /> .Jason Streebel stated that the Overlay Account is kept updated by the Assessing Office <br /> and the Town accountants. The fiscal year 2008 currently is showing a large deficit, and <br /> for comfort issues, excess funds from 2006 were being requested to be moved to the <br /> year 2008. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and passed that the BOA approve the transfer of <br /> $239,554 from the Town of f ashpee's Fiscal Year 2008 Deserve for Abatement <br /> Account to the Fiscal Year 2008 Reserve for Abatement Account. <br /> . ATB settlement for 77 Triton way <br /> Edwin Kaplan, owner of the property at 77 Triton van# has agreed to withdraw his ATB <br /> case and accept a small abatement correction given to him by the Assessing Office, <br /> based on the listing correction made by the Assessing Office. The abatement correction <br /> amount is $288.85. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and passed that the BOA approve the abatement <br /> application settlement amount of$286.65 awarded to Edwin Kaplan. <br />
