Director of Assessing <br /> Gregg Fraser, Clerk <br /> CALL To ORDER <br /> Chairman Paul Andrews called the meeting to order at 5:47 PM. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> No public comments. <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES <br /> Minutes from the Board of Assessors meeting held on January 21, Zoog, were amended as <br /> follows: <br /> Page 1, under CALL TO ORDER, the time 7000 PM was changed o 5-45 PM. <br /> A motion was rade, seconded and passed to approve as amended the minutes from the <br /> meeting held on January 21, 2009. <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORTS <br /> Paul Andrews, Chairman. Parol Andrews reported that on Thursday, 2/19/09 he and Jason <br /> Streebel together conducted a field trip to tour the 10%+ abatement application properties, most <br /> of which were located in New seabury and Popponesset. <br /> Sheldon Holzer, Vice e Chairman. No report. <br /> Gregg Fraser, Clerk. No report. <br /> DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT-Jason Streebel <br /> 1. Abatement Applications for FY 'o . <br /> Jason Streebel stated that there were a total of 211 abatement applications for Fly '08, personal <br /> property and read estate applications combined, one of which was a town-owned property <br /> abatement. Of that-211, 68 of them were from the New seabury Corporation. Last year there <br /> were a total of 260 abatement applications. Abatement applications under consideration in <br /> today's's eetin total 60. The total dollar amount of those abatement applications <br /> recommended for approval today is less than $21,000 which will core out of the overlay <br /> account. <br /> 2. Jaynes Bond, Asst* Director of Assessing -• Mass. Assessors Accreditation (MAA) <br /> Jason Streebel stated that Jaynes Bond successfully completed Course#2 as of Friday, <br /> 2/20/09, toward his MAA. Mr. Bond will be starting Course#4 on Friday, oo . Jason <br /> Streebel stated that the Assessing ice has been running smoothly with no problems to report. <br /> . FY '09 FY' Budget <br /> Jason Streebel reported that the Town Manager is submitting to the Board of Selectmen a 1% <br /> overall town-wide budget decrease for Administrations, DPH Police, and Fire, with the schools <br />
