I <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Discussion of correspondence. <br /> Jason Streeb l distributed to the Board members a draft of a letter addressed to Andrew <br /> Marks, Operations Manager, l ashpee Water District, from the Board of Assessors, <br /> dated 7/22/10. The letter is in response to receipt by Board of Assessors individually of <br /> letters from the Water District notifying the Board members about the termination of their <br /> stipend as of July 2010. see Attachment A for copy of letter to the Vater District) <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion that the'Board of Assessors send the letter to-Andrew <br /> Marks, Operations Manager,r, Mashpee Water District. Gregg Fraser seconded the <br /> motion. The motion was unanimously approved. . <br /> Paul Andrews asked that Joyce {Mason be copied on the letter to the later District. - <br /> 2. Tac Breakdown Approval <br /> Jason S reebel stated that the tax breakdown insert was approved at the last <br /> Selectmen's meeting. Paul Andrews suggested that the Board send out a press release <br /> to the llahpee Enterprise before the next tax bill that gives some information about the <br /> insert. Paul Andrews asked .Jason streebel to prepare a press release for Board . <br /> approval at the next meeting of the Board of Assessors. Jason Streebel stated that he <br /> will not have the real tax numbers before December of 2010. <br /> . Warrant Articles <br /> Mason streebel stated that he discussed with Town Manager .Joyce Mason about how <br /> the administration might feel about the warrant articles suggested by the BOA. Joyce <br /> Eason did not have a particular opinion at this time but suggested that time was short for <br /> articles to be turned in by July for the October Town Meeting, and recommended that the , <br /> warrant articles be put off until the May 2011 Town Meeting. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> Jason Strebel stated that there was no particular need at this time for an August <br /> meeting, and suggested that the next meeting be scheduled for some time in <br /> September, the date TBD. <br /> Gregg Fraser made a motion that the Board 6f Assessors move into Executive session, <br /> not to return to the Public session, in order to comply with the provisions of General Law <br /> MGL Chapter 59, section 60, to discuss possible abatement applications, the contents <br /> of which are not public record.
