Gregg Fraser <br /> seconded the motion. Cape Cod Commission Meeting for Assessors — Nov. 10, 2010 <br /> Mason streebel reported on his attendance at a Cape Cod Commission (CCC) meeting <br /> held in Barnstable pillage, the purpose of which was to review issues relating to the <br /> concept of regionalization of assessing office functions and duties. There were eleven <br /> (11) Directors of Assessing'in attendance from around Barnstable County. Jason stated <br /> that the CCC has acquired some funds from the state, one portion of which must be <br /> used on regionalization issues. Consultants. will be doing an in-depth study on the <br /> possibilities of regionalization for various assessing functions. Input from attending <br /> • Assessors regarding possible regionalized functions centered on customer service, <br /> software, and data collection. <br /> 2. Data Collector Position <br /> Jason Streebel stated that he attended the Board of Selectmen's.meeting on Monday, <br /> Nov. 1 5th f 2010 to request permission to refill the vacant Data Collector position. .Jason <br /> .stated that previous to the B S meeting,.he had a discussion with Town Manager Joyce <br /> Mason regarding the fact that the CCC.regionalization report was due to be out the end <br /> of December. Jason stated that he and Joyce Mason agreed to postpone until January <br /> 011 a request to the Board of Se lecti en re: filling the data collector position, until after <br /> the CCC report results were received. Jason streebel stated that he plans to do <br /> cost benefit analysis of the position, doing the work in-house versus.hiring it out. <br /> . t <br />
