PURPOSE, The purpose of this by-law is to protect <br /> areas of Critical Environmental Concernt to protect environ- <br /> mental values of significance to flood controlt the prevention <br /> • of storm damage, the protection of waters containing shellfish <br /> and fisheries, and other public interests protected by the <br /> -.Ietlands Protection Act (M.G .L. , Chapter 131) and the Town's <br /> '.;etlands Protection By-Laws , <br /> 2. Gc:CGRAFHICAL .:\FPLICABILITY. This article will apply <br /> to areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACIC) as shown <br /> on the zoning map and a buffer zone extending fifty feet <br /> land-,card from the edge of the ACEC. <br /> 3 .
