2 <br /> Capital Improvement Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 14, 2003 <br /> Cemetery: (continued) <br /> An irrigation system is also proposed to maintain the property and <br /> planting areas surrounding the memorial shelter and entrance. A well has <br /> been sized for the irrigation system. It was recommended that the <br /> irrigation system be installed in a timely basis to alleviate interference <br /> with the layout of the burial site locations. <br /> Included in the $40,000 estimate to complete the cemetery project is the <br /> construction of a maintenance building to allow for the storage of onsite <br /> equipment and materials associated to general maintenance functions. <br /> Department of Public Worts: <br /> It was noted that most of the CIP items contained in the capital ' <br /> improvement program request of the DPW are carried over from previous <br /> fiscal years. <br /> The DPW storage garage originally proposed for construction in FY02 is a <br /> requirement of the Environmental Protection Agency. The 60 x 100' <br /> building for the storage of DPW vehicles and equipment is proposed as a <br /> 15 year $1,500,000 bond. <br /> The paving of various Town n facilities and roads is.also proposed as a 1 <br /> year $2,100,000 bond. Projects listed under infrastructure repair include <br /> the K.C. Coombs School Parking Lot, a 4-Year Subdivision Maintenance <br /> Program used to maintain the rows accepted as public ways, the Sniorr <br /> Center pang lot on Great beck Road North,the Transfer Station access <br /> roads that are required for compliance, and the DPW parking areas. Wort <br /> involves the repaving and expansion of the DPW yard and the <br /> construction of a truck wash facility. Also incorporated in the <br /> infrastructure repair project is the realignment and related signalizatiori of <br /> the intersection of Frank Dicks Drive and Job's Fishing Toad, and the <br /> reconstruction of Frank Dicks Drive to provide access to the Police and <br /> Fire Station complex, the new Senior Center,the Boys' and Girls' Club <br /> and Mashpee Commons. It was noted that the project would end at the � <br /> p p 1 <br /> new Senior Center, In addition, infrastructure improvements include the <br /> reconstruction of Algonquin Avenue and the repair of the Quashnet <br /> School tennis courts, both deemed a safety issue, <br />
