C1P Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 8, 20 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Diane Rommelmeyer,Nancy Goulart, <br /> Selectman Wayne Taylor <br /> Absent: Dean Arden <br /> Meeting Cabled to Order by Chairman Mason at 3-*10 p.m. <br /> Tow,lull, Conference Room 1. <br /> Review of FY05 C1P Submissions: <br /> ibr ■ <br /> Library Construction; - $4,493,895 <br /> Helene DeFoe, Library Director was present to discuss the updated design <br /> and construction estimate for the 17,370 square foot library proposed t <br /> replace the present library facility. The project has been before the'CIP <br /> program for the past six years. <br /> Preliminary budget estimates for the project were outlined in estimation by <br /> J. Stewart Roberts Associates, Inc. architects. The probable project cast is <br /> estimated at $259 per square foot. The project has been substantially <br /> reduced from the initial $7,200,000 proposal of 27,080 gross square feet. <br /> Pref budget estimates for the reduced scheme were reviewed. <br /> The Library Building Committee is scheduled to meet with the Board o <br /> Selectmen on January 2 , 2004 to discuss the project proposal. However, <br /> it was rioted that the building although modified does not meet the <br /> Selectmen's budget recommendation of$3,000,000 for the new library <br /> project. Presently, the Town Accountant is reviewing the Town's debt <br /> schedule to determine the appropriate fiscal year to begin project funding. <br /> Ills.
