The purchase-would include <br /> electronics and a trailer. A new motor was purchased for the current boat <br /> this past July and would be used on the new fire/rescue boat. It was <br /> agreed that funds from the Waterways Improvement Account would be � <br /> considered for this type of purchase. <br /> The Fire Department has also proposed to replace its 1990 F350 one ton <br /> pickup truck with a new heavy duty utility body pickup truck with a small <br /> fire pump and water tank. The present vehicle is fourteen years old with <br /> 9 ,,000 miles. The vehicle could be used as a trade-in or used by the town <br /> to ploy snow or tow boats. The vehicle has been in the CIP program for <br /> the past six years. <br /> Additional proposals for fiscal year 2006 include the purchase of vehicle <br /> computing. The computer purchase will bring forth wireless <br /> communications and enable the vehicles to access department and town <br /> records i the response apparatus. It was noted that grant funding <br /> initiatives would be sought for this type of purchase. <br /> *It was agreed that the Selectmen would be consulted with respect to the <br /> full implementation of the GIS system. It was noted that the Assistant <br /> Town Planner/GIS Coordinator has not been able to devote enough time to <br /> this important issue. <br /> The need for a new Jaws of Life that would include a spreader, cutter, <br /> rams and air lifting bags for the Fire Department's rtment' rescue engine was <br /> detailed by the department for consideration as a purchase from the <br /> ambulance receipts account. <br />
