This would enable the department to meet staffing <br /> needs and fully prepare for the new substation. The commitment for an <br /> additional ambulance and the purchase of a new jaws of life would be <br /> strongly considered as a future purchase from the ambulance receipts <br /> account. <br /> Board of Health; <br /> FY06Requests: <br /> 4WD Vehicle $26,028: <br /> Landfill Cap - $x`9,860: <br /> Glen Harington, Board of Health was present to discuss justification for <br /> the purchase of a new 4WD vehicle to replace the 1996 Jeep Cherokee. <br /> The nine year old vehicle has 63,000 miles, The vehicle request was in <br /> last years CII' budget. The use of the vehicle as a trade-in or floater for <br /> department heads would be considered. <br /> Capital improvements t the landfill at sher's Path is requested as a result <br /> f erosion and continued damage from lawn mowing equipment. Re- <br /> seeding and re-grading is proposed to repair areas of erosion and sparse <br /> vegetation. A cost savings could be realized with the assistance of the <br /> Department of Public Works or if a local contractor is hired for the work. <br /> It was noted that the DPW is going to assume the Dual moving at the <br /> landfill which Will result in a cost savings and the landfill has recognized a <br /> cost savmng in landfill monitoring. <br />
