w <br /> Capital Improvement Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 23, 2004 <br /> CIp Overview: <br /> Additional information was requested from the School Department <br /> regarding the network infrastructure project proposal as it relates to the <br /> purchase of additional pc's and the chancery student information system. <br /> The department was asked to prioritize their infrastructure needs. <br /> With regards to the phase 11 Quashnet HVAC replacement, it was noted <br /> that phase I, approved in last years CIP budget is anticipated to be <br /> installed in April of 2005. <br /> -It was agreed that the request of the Leisure Services Department to utilize <br /> the former senior center as a pre-school building would be addressed with <br /> the Board of Selectmen. Funds from the building & grounds maintenance <br /> account would assist with carpet and painting needs in the building if it is' <br /> supported by the Selectmen for use as a pre-school facility. <br /> The Cp program 'is committed to the purchase of a 10 wheel dump for the <br /> Department of public Works. The dump was approved in-the 2005 CI <br /> budget appropriation. The sure of$50,000 is earmarked for FY06 which <br /> includes $281,000 in FY07 for the approved purchase. <br /> The Committee prioritized the replacement of the 1995 F450 dump true. <br /> The request for fiscal year 2006 i $55,000. It was noted that the dump <br /> true has been a CIS'request since 2002. <br /> Realizing the need for a substation,the Committee was in agreement to <br /> request support of the Selectmen for to 2 additional firefighters to meet <br /> staffing needs and to filly prepare for a new substation in South Mashpee. <br /> It was agreed that the substation would be deferred to 2007. <br /> Ad J ournment: <br /> Motion made by Mr. Taylor to adjourn at 4:09 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Umina. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Kathleen M.
