w Capital Improvement Committee Minutes December 23, 2004 CIp Overview: Additional information was requested from the School Department regarding the network infrastructure project proposal as it relates to the purchase of additional pc's and the chancery student information system. The department was asked to prioritize their infrastructure needs. With regards to the phase 11 Quashnet HVAC replacement, it was noted that phase I, approved in last years CIP budget is anticipated to be installed in April of 2005. -It was agreed that the request of the Leisure Services Department to utilize the former senior center as a pre-school building would be addressed with the Board of Selectmen. Funds from the building & grounds maintenance account would assist with carpet and painting needs in the building if it is' supported by the Selectmen for use as a pre-school facility. The Cp program 'is committed to the purchase of a 10 wheel dump for the Department of public Works. The dump was approved in-the 2005 CI budget appropriation. The sure of$50,000 is earmarked for FY06 which includes $281,000 in FY07 for the approved purchase. The Committee prioritized the replacement of the 1995 F450 dump true. The request for fiscal year 2006 i $55,000. It was noted that the dump true has been a CIS'request since 2002. Realizing the need for a substation,the Committee was in agreement to request support of the Selectmen for to 2 additional firefighters to meet staffing needs and to filly prepare for a new substation in South Mashpee. It was agreed that the substation would be deferred to 2007. Ad J ournment: Motion made by Mr. Taylor to adjourn at 4:09 p.m. Motion seconded by Mr. Umina. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
