Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 1 , 2005 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Theresa Cook, Fancy Jo Goulart, Gerald Umina <br /> Absent: Dawn Thayer <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 3:I5 p.m. <br /> M TES: <br /> December 6, 2005: <br /> The above referenced minutes were deferred to the next meeting. <br /> Review of FY7 CIP Requests: <br /> The Capital Improvement Program Committee met with the following <br /> departments to review their capital improvement program requests for <br /> fiscal year 2007. <br /> School—Total FY07 bequest: $455 : <br /> Ann Bradshaw, Superintendent of Schools was present with School <br /> Department representatives Janice Mills, Peter Roche, Brad Tripp and <br /> Sean Moroney to review FY07 requests that focus on completing the <br /> phased technology infrastructure project, a vehicle replacement and on <br /> issues associated to health and safety cont ms. Many of the CIP requests <br /> are carried over from previous years and several projects are in the second <br /> or third phase. <br /> Technology Infrastructure Phase II and Phase III - $75,000: <br /> The Phase II technology infrastructure project would allow the department <br /> to purchase a district-wide antivirus package and to modify and improve <br /> the operating system by Purchasing and replacing all network servers. The <br /> request does not include hardware or computers, only necessities for email <br /> and Internet access. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to technology and the expansion of <br /> wireless mum' ipal network to enable connectivity to information on a <br /> Town-vide basis. David Delvecchio, Director of Information <br /> Technology indicated that a Town-wide wireless mesh network is <br /> presented in his capital budget request in fiscal year 2007. <br />
