3 <br /> Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 4. 2007 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> s essinDepartment: <br /> Assessor Jason Streebel was in attendance to request the Committee's <br /> consideration to purchase in fiscal year 2011, a new vehicle for the-sum of <br /> $259000. <br /> The present 2001 .deep Cherokee vehicle is utilized by the Data Collector <br /> and Assistant-Assessor.. The vehicle-has 3 1,000+miles to date. The <br /> Assessing Department has expended $1,000 in repairs this year replacing <br /> an alternator and a fan belt. Last year, the brakes and the front rotors were <br /> replaced. Although the mileage 'is low,the vehicle has declined with the <br /> repeated"stop and go" driving in daily assessing duties. <br /> Mr. Streebel was requested to maintain a log of vehicle rep' airs and <br /> maintenance for future review. <br /> Council on Aging: <br /> The CIS' Committee reviewed the request of the Council on Aging for a <br /> replacement van 2010 and a generator in 2012. The request for the <br /> capital items were included in last year's CII' estimated disbursement <br /> summary. <br /> The current vary is leased by the Council on Aging from the Cape Cod <br /> Regional Transit Authority. Replacement is expected from the CC T , <br /> but itis not guaranteed. The replacement van is anticipated to cost <br /> $45�POO . <br /> A $40,,000 emergency generator would provide-power to the Senior <br /> Center. This is an ongoing request of Council on Aging me <br />
