2 <br /> Capital Improvement Prograrn Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> November l , 2008 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Theresa Cook,fancy Jo Goulart <br /> Absent: Dawn Thayer, Charles Gasior <br /> Attendees: Lisa Frye, Rene Read <br /> ,y <br /> Meeting Calledt „Order by Chairman Mason at 3:35 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#3 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Tuesday,January 2 , Zoo : <br /> The above referenced minutes were deferred for a voting lonn. <br /> MondLay, February 25,2008—Public Hearing on FY0 <br /> Capital IMprovement Fro arn: <br /> Motion made by Ms. Goulart to approve the minutes of Monday, <br /> February 25,2008 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms. Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Overview: <br /> The Capital Improvement Program CIP Committee met for the purpose <br /> of'reviewing capital projects for fiscal year 2010. To date, departmental <br /> requests total $1,954,131. The sum excludes the late-filed submission o <br /> the Town Clerk for Aecuvote Voting Machines. It is projected that <br /> approximately$500,000 would be available from free cash to consider <br /> projects for FYo 10, With the onset of the new budget process, it is <br /> unclear if all anticipated CIP funding would be available for appropriation. <br /> Several Departments have submitted requests for vehicles. It was agreed <br /> the CIP Committee would review the existing fleet of Ton vehicles and <br /> related purchase needs collectively. It is a new requirement for applicants <br /> to submit updated vehicle mileage and detailed gas and repair expenses to <br /> the CIP for additional review and consideration. <br />
