i <br /> Capital hnprovement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> March 4, 2010 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Theresa Cool, Dawn Thayer, <br /> Nancy Jo Goulart, Charles Gasior <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Charman Mason at 3:30 p.m. <br /> Town Mall, Conference Room#1 <br /> QIP P �R"FY2011: <br /> The Capital Improvement Program.. CIp Committee met for the purpose <br /> of recommending capital projects for fiscal year 2011. Due to budgetary <br /> constraints in challenged economic times,the CIP Committee agreed t <br /> recommend the committed vehicle lease purchase program for the Police <br /> Department for Y2 11. The sum of$145,,000will allow for the <br /> continuation of the vehicle replacement plan previously adopted. The <br /> project is in its third year acquisition schedule of 10 police vehicles <br /> ($105,000) and second year acquisition schedule of 4 unmarked police <br /> vehicles ($40,000) approved TY . <br /> Lease/Purchase Proaram—Police vehicles: <br /> Motion made by Mr. Gasior to approve the continuation of the <br /> lease/purchase of police vehicles; $145,000 ($105,000 year 3 of 3, <br /> $40,000 year 2 o as.obligated under the CIP Program for fiscal <br /> year 2011 <br /> Ilion seconded by Mrs. Cool. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br /> Phone System Up r de—MCAT Fundin : <br /> The CIP tools action on additional projects identified with the use of <br /> separate funding initiatives. The Mashpee Cable and Advanced <br /> Technology(MCAT)Board previously voted to fund the phone system <br /> upgrade contained in the budget request of the Information Technology <br /> (IT) Department. The sum of$230,264 is projected to complete the phone <br /> system upgrade for all Town and School phone systems. The existing <br /> system was installed with the renovation of the Town lull and is now <br /> deemed obsolete. It was noted the Mashpee High School phone system <br /> was funded and installed in August of 2009. The new-Library phone <br /> system has also been funded and was installed in January of 2010, As a <br /> result,the phone system upgrade for the remainder of the Town buildings <br /> is anticipated to derive under budget projections. <br /> 2 <br />
