• Mrs. Botsford will be attending the MassNAHRO Fall Conference and moderating a session on <br /> time management for small Has <br /> • Mrs. Botsford reported that she had started the annual DHD report for Asher's Path and when <br /> she went In to double-check everything a week before it was due to be submitted) she'd found <br /> that it had been electronically submitted. She contacted Laurie McGuire at Peabody Properties to <br /> see if they had submitted our report and they had. Mrs. Botsford informed Ms. McGuire that the <br /> report had a change that needed to be made and should not have been submitted. Mrs. Botsford <br /> tried to reach DHCD to let them know, but no response to date. Mrs. Botsford just wanted the <br /> board to be aware that this has happened. <br /> • The housing authority has a Facebook page which is being used to announce things (like <br /> construction progress, awards received, etc.) <br /> • Mrs. Botsford informed the board that DHD has issued another request for housing authorities <br /> to submit requests for funding under their Health &Safety Initiative. Mrs. Botsford is going t <br /> submit a request for the cost of changing the mulch near the building to stone as required by <br /> the town in their recent memo), and to add handicapped accessible doors in the back of the <br /> building. She will keep the board posted. <br /> • Mrs. Botsford received an email that the housing authority will be receiving an award from <br /> M ssHousing at a ceremony on October 25 with regards to our reaching our Minority/Women <br /> Vendor goals. She will attend to collect the award. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Breezy Acres Expansion/Great Cove Community Update: Mrs. Botsford gave the board an update on the <br /> progress that has been made. Breezy Acres project (Septic Tie in) is moving along but there i expected <br /> i to be a delay due to NStar and National Grid not yet getting the utilities hooked up. DHCD is aware of <br /> this, and it will not be a problem. we are hoping everything will be done by the end of November. Mrs. <br /> Botsford regularly attends the construction meetings. <br /> i <br /> Great Cove Community is right on schedule aswell: <br /> 4 buildings are framed with roof trusses on; final grading is to begin on October 14 <br /> ��'. <br /> The severer connection project is scheduled to be done in October, however there is a delay with <br /> getting National Grid to both sites and Robert Our may require an extension to thein original <br /> th <br /> completion date of October 14 . <br /> Electric has been brought onto the site. <br /> We are on track for substantial completion in April 2814. <br /> Town land available/future plans: Mrs. Botsford provided ward members with the reap/email from Town <br /> Planner, Torn Eudala, and a discussion ensued about the possibility of getting a feasibility study done. <br /> notion was made by Mr. Harsh and seconded by Mr, Laporte to approach the Town for <br /> permission to yet a feasibility study done on the 950 Falmouth Road site, The motion was <br /> adopted. <br /> NEIN BUSINESS: <br /> Housing Authority..Management—Wareham and Brewster: Mrs. Botsford informed the members that she <br /> had been called by both authorities for an interview and attended both. Wareham had stated that there <br /> were several applicants (about o) including 3 housing authorities and that they didn't expect to make a <br /> decision until late October, or possibly later. Mrs, Botsford provided the board with a follow-up letter she <br /> sent to Wareham Housing Authority after her interview. Brewster was still unsure as to whether or not <br /> they wanted to hire an executive director or have a housing authority manage therm. They had three <br /> housing authorities apply and several individuals. They were not yet done with interviews, but would be <br /> in touch. Mrs. Botsford will keep the board updated. <br /> Waiting fist enin : Mrs. Botsford informed the board that the waiting lists for our one-bedroom MF VP <br /> Project Based program, as well as the Chapter 667 non-elderly/disabled list has been closed for a while <br /> since they had gotten so long.
