Laporte and seconded by Mr. Shackett to open the waiting list for the 667 non- <br /> elderly/handicapped <br /> n- <br /> eld rl /handicapped pr ram and the MRVP Project Based one-bedroom list for a period of <br /> months. The motion was adopted. Mrs. Botsford will prepare advertisements and get them into the <br /> newspaper. <br /> Air Conditioner Policy: Mrs. Botsford had provided the board with the current MHA policy and a couple <br /> suggested changes. After a discussion about potential changes, and the need to change the policy, a <br /> motion was made by Mr, Laporte and seconded by Mr. Sha k tt to table the discussion until <br /> next month. The ration was adopted. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: Mashpee Affordable Housing Trust <br /> Mrs. Botsford provided the board with a copy of the by-laws for the MAHT which had been approved by <br /> the Attorney General's office in 2001. Mrs. Botsford expressed concern for complying with the open <br /> Meeting Law since the MHA board maces up the majority of the M HT members. She stated that she <br /> thinks it would be best to get an opinion from the Attorney General, as the by-laws seem to contradict <br /> the current procedures under open Meeting Lair, She will do that and report back to the board. <br /> Mrs. Botsford also provided the board with a copy of her letter to the CPC regarding the need for <br /> clarification on items perta1ning to the Mash pee Housing-Assistance Program which carne up and were <br /> outlined in emails with both the Torn Accountant and the Torn Manager. No action has been taken on <br /> these issues and the board agreed to just leave things the way they are for now. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS/CRE P IDE E: Other than those already menti nedF Mrs. Botsford <br /> reviewed a nice letter received from a recipient of the Housing Assistance Program and provided the <br /> board with a copy. <br /> NEXT MEE ING: The next meeting will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 6:00 PM unless changed <br /> beforehand. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Mr. Laporte and seconded by Ms. Allen to <br /> adjourn.
