44 <br /> h <br /> Information Meeting to Provide Town Update on Affordable Housing <br /> The Chair indicated that the meeting could be held at the Mashpee Senior Center and it was- <br /> suggested <br /> assuggested that the panel include the Committee, Selectman Richardson and Ms. ]Botsford firom <br /> the Mashpee Housing Authority. The Chair stated that he would put together a PowerPoint <br /> presentation to begin the meeting. Ms. Egloff recommended waiting for the results of the <br /> feasibility study. The Chair pointed out that the Articles would be considered at Town Meeting <br /> and the Committee would want residents to have a greater awareness of Mashpee's affordable <br /> housing needs. FIs. Egloff suggested that the muting could be general, focusing on such issues <br /> s the state's mandate,the Committee's mission, goals and constraints and consideration of <br /> cottage housing. The Chair stated his preference that there be a meeting in order to open up <br /> discussion with the residents of Quashnet valley. Where was discussion regarding who in <br /> Mashpee would be interested in attending the meeting and ways to reach out to the population. It <br /> was suggested that refreshments be provided and that the meeting be recorded for cable in order <br /> to share the information with a lamer audience. Thursday, April 17 at 3 p.m, was re omrnended <br /> as a meeting date. Selectman Richardson, Town Planner Torn Fudala, the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals, Ms. Botsford and the Mashpee Housing Authority Board would be invited to attend. <br /> Mr. Isbitz will invite Town Manager Joyce Mason to attend. <br /> Cottage Housing/Housing Authority Plan <br /> Wednesday, May 8 was identified as a date to hold the Cottage Housing Session with architect <br /> Don Powers and IIs. Botsford of the Mashpee Housing Authority. Ms.. gloffwill book the <br /> Harborview Room in the County Complex for :30- p.m. It was suggested that a meeting be <br /> coordinated with Paul I uchinsk s at the Cape Cod Commission regarding the session. The <br /> Chair stated that be had submitted an application for a grant that would fund the joint <br /> information session sponsored by the Cape Cod Commission, Mashpee Affordable Housing <br /> Committee and the Mashpee Housing Authority. It was suggested that Cottage Housing would <br /> be discussed for I hour, with a 15 minute break, concluding with a 30 minute session with 1s. <br /> Botsford. Invitations to attend the event could be sent via the Cape Cod Commission distribution <br /> list. Ms. Egloffvolunteered to draft a flyer for the event. Refreshments would be offered dining <br /> the break and here was discussion regarding offering Mr. Powers a stipend for his efforts. The <br /> Committee decided to plan for 50 attendees and Ms. Egloff agreed to provide a quote for the cost <br /> of refreshments. There was also discussion regarding necessary handouts, the need to hire an IT <br /> person and the possibility of producing a digital recording of the event.
