OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT
Home V'I'sits/Appo'*Intments/Volunteers
Lynne Waterman recounted her experience with at least two of the twelve
visits made during April. At issue was the ability of those seniors to
continue to care for themselves. Relatives and the Elder Services staff were
brought in to help resolve the situation.
One new volunteer was added in April and will be assisting with
transportation. Also, Judy and Lynne conducted training for new and
experienced canvassers —with a follow-up with seniors who need additional
care.
Meetings/Contacts
Of primary importance was a workshop at the NCOA/ASA annual
conference in San Francisco, where Lynne and three other members of the
Upper Cape Consortium conducted a workshop on The Role of Technology
in Developing Solutions for Elders At Risk. This is a fine tribute for the
work Lynne and others have been do ing in that area.
NEW BUSYNESS
i
New Member— Council on Aging --
Jack Dorsey was presented to the Council as an applicant for the position on
the Council on Aging.
