MASBFEE COUNCIL OST AGING <br /> October 20, 2004 <br /> IN ATTENDANCE: ALSO PRIESENT, <br /> Arthur Weinstein James Long <br /> Jeanne louee Lynne Waterman <br /> Jack Dorsey <br /> Marko Dorney <br /> The Chairperson opened the meeting at :11 M' eetMg Room 2 of Ma hpee Town lull. <br /> Lynne Waterman recommended some minor changes M' the September mm' utes. Those <br /> were accepted. with hose changes in place, a notion was made by Shur Weinstein <br /> and seconded by Jeanne Noussee to accept the nfin.utes of the September meeting. The <br /> motion was approved. <br /> T AS R R'S RLP RT—Most of budget expenditures were right on target—but <br /> energy expenses, because of increased fuel cost for the vary, could cause a problem. Jinn <br /> Long advised a gait and see attitude towards expenses for the new building. <br /> Another problem expressed by Mr. Long is his and Lynne's difficulty ire being <br /> reimbursed for heir official travel expenses, He will request of the town a car that will <br /> be driven on hose occasions. <br /> The Council expressed the opinion that a letter should be written by the Council in <br /> support of Nk. Long's effort to seep appropriate reimbursement for travel expenses. Jinn <br /> ill develop numbers as well as check with other C 's to see how they handle similar <br /> expenses. <br /> DIRECTOW S REPORT— <br /> Jim gave an overview of the many meetings he-attended in the previous month— <br /> including those associated with the building of the new senior center. Contractors <br /> estimate that the completion date will be on or around November 23. The sewerage <br /> system is t installed no later than the second week in December. The grand opening <br /> will no doubt follow sometinne In December. <br /> Of special note for Jim was the meeting with the CAPERS conceming their possible <br /> utilization of the Senior Center for meetings and other events. Other groups wishing to <br /> access the new Center include the Cape Code Arnateur Ballroom Dancers as well as the <br /> Bridge group from Falmouth. <br />
