USER GROUPS — Jim met with several groups about using the expanded <br /> facility. Included were the YMCA, the Cape & Islands Ballroom Dancing <br /> Assn., bridge, tap-dancing, etc. <br /> REVISION OF USER FEES — Jim included with the Council's packet of <br /> information a proposal to modify fees for use of the Center, including the <br /> agreed-upon security fee for keys. It was decided to table the proposal for <br /> the time being. <br /> ADA COMMITTEE —Jim met with the town American Disability Act <br /> Committee to present plans for the new Senior Center and to address <br /> concerns. The committee was thrilled with the regulations. <br /> A motion was offered and seconded to accept the Director's report. It was <br /> then approved unanimously. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT — <br /> Lynne Waterman reported on several of the sixteen visits she made last <br /> month. <br /> Also, she reported that with the assistance of nine volunteer deliverers, one <br /> volunteer shopper, one volunteer caller and six volunteer wrappers, they <br /> were able to distribute holiday gifts to 34 needy Mashpee seniors. Funds for <br /> the gifts were provided by the Capers, Friends of the Mashpee Council on <br /> Aging and the New Seabury Women's Club. <br /> VOLUNTEERS — Three new volunteers were added this past month and <br /> will be assisting with the front desk, thrift shop and intergenerational <br /> projects. In December, approximately 17 Mashpee seniors participated in a <br /> holiday intergenerational event with one of the third grade classes. <br /> MEETINGS — Lynne attended the nutrition program's and TRIAD's <br /> holiday parties. Also, she attended the monthly meeting of the Upper Cape <br /> Consortium and met with Ms. Lafontaine of South Bay's Mental Health's <br /> day psychiatric program. <br /> A motion was offered and seconded to accept the Outreach Coordinator's <br /> Report, and it was approved unanimously. <br />
