MASHPEE COUNCIL ON AGING
MARCH 16, 2005
IN ATTENDANCE ALSO PRESENT
Arthur Weinstein James Long
Jeanne Nousee Lynne Waterman
Marijo Gorney Joyce Mason
Rose Shanker
Art Eisenberg
Marilynn Brooks
Irving Goldberg
Jack Dorsey
ABSENT
Virginia McIntyre
The Chairman opened the meeting at 9:10 at the Mashpee Seniors Center.
TREASURER'S REPORT —In the absence of the Treasurer, Jim Long
provided the budget report. Expenditures seem to be right on track with
estimates. Jim promised to discuss the proposed revolving account for
donations at the next meeting. Apparently it will be one of the warrants to
be discussed and voted on at the May Town Meeting.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT — Jim talked about the various meetings he
attended during the previous month. Also, the staff enjoyed their belated
XMAS staff meeting at the Daniel Webster Inn on Wednesday, March 2.
The CAPERS met at the Senior Center on February 14 with a group of 160. i
This was a huge difference from the prior building in terms of capacity.
PATIO FURNITURE is in the process of being ordered, and tours are still
being given to new people coming to the center.
During the month the MUNIS (TOWN FINANCIAL SOFTWARE) WAS
INTRODUCED TO THE SENIOR CENTER. We are now hooked in to the
town system, which has increased efficiency and some confusion at the same
time.
