OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT
Lynne Waterman discussed several of her cases and went on to
talk about the three new volunteers added this past month who will
be assisting at the front desk, newsletter, office projects and
transportation. She went on-to say that since moving into the new
building, we have seen a significant increase in seniors interested
in volunteering for us.
Lynne talked about the meetings she has attended, including
CIRCA training on "Death and Dying", as well as training for
Cape outreach staff on "Delirium and Dangerous Behavior"
presented by the psychiatric staff of Cape Cod Healthcare. She
participated in the monthly meeting of the Upper Cape
Consortium,, at which it was agreed that the Consortium would
seek another $50,000 from the County to continue work with self
neglecting elders.
i
Lynne also brought us up-to-date on the volunteer recognition
luncheon which will be held at the Seniors Center on June 9. The
Volunteer of the Year— in addition to the Rookie Volunteer of the
Year — will be announced at that time.
The thrift shop has now opened for the season, and the
construction of the new building is well on its way.
The Outreach Coordinator's Report was unanimously accepted.
MUTION TO ADJOURN — There being no further business, the
motion to adjourn was approved and seconded at 10:30.
. . Respectfully submitted,
MansojoCCirne Y
i
