Absent: Jack.horsey, Irving Goldberg, <br /> Also present: Jim Dong, Lynne Waterman, Wayne Taylor, Brian Kehrl l rlashpee Enterprise) <br /> The meeting opened at 8:30 am in the Board Room of the M�ashpee Senior Center; <br /> SECRETARY'S R ORT: The Minutes of March ll, 2009 were approved unanimously. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: Since the vehicle Account his been spent,the Finance Committee <br /> vel be putting in a request to pay for van expenses, add'mgmoney to this account. Mile has <br /> been overspent at 80%to date. The Ton will receive another van as a gift from the Regional <br /> Transit Authority. <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT: <br /> Meetings: The Director attended the following meetings over the month: Town Department <br /> Dead,Barnstable County Human Service,Upper Cape C A Directors, Power in,Aging, Hospice <br /> and Palliative Care, MCOA Quarterly.Meeting,TRIAD, CIRCA Legislative Breakfast,etc. <br /> Departmental Meetings:Two meetings with Staff occurred during the month: Multiple issues <br /> were discussed including changes to the Behavioral Policy, thoughts on additional programs w <br /> might consider including BEANO, Health ah-s, community usage,etc. <br /> TarDriver: Robert Morton has requested a medical leave of absence from March 26 through <br /> April 24, 2009. The replacement driver, Lewis Newell, will fill in during his absence. <br /> Title 3 Dunt.Our volunteer medical driver participation through the Elder Services grant <br /> continues to improve with aid itioral drivers added each month and increased reimbursement <br /> requests from the drivers which should help us read our goal of funneling a large number of this <br /> type ride through the volunteer system and building UP a cadre of volunteer medical drivers. <br /> B havion icy:The Senior Center's behavioral policy is being revised in order to clarify <br /> the responsibilities of our seniors when on site. There have been a fever instances lately of <br /> inappropriate behavior which required involvement by management. <br /> Health Fair:A health fair is scheduled for Friday, April 17, between the hours of 1-000 p.m. and <br /> :00 p.m. This is being accomplished in cooperation with the VNA and i ashpee.hoard of <br /> Health. <br /> Chef Naha:The c ooking demonstration was a great success and we.hope to schedule one at least <br /> once per quarter. <br /> Hospice: A representative from Hospice and Palliative Care will be on site one afternoon per <br /> month to inform our clientele about services. <br />
