Capers also received cards. <br /> Holiday Luncheon: The holiday luncheon for staff was held at the Blu Restaurant, and it was <br /> enjoyed by all. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR"S REPORT: <br /> Horne VisitslAppof r ments: Twenty-one were made this past month, in addition to client contact <br /> by phone call. Lynne assisted clients having difficulty coping with chronic care giving, those <br /> needing financial assistance, and those seeking affordable housing. The numbers seem to be <br /> increasing. Some clients are living on credit card debt, and Lynne recommended d financial <br /> counseling to thein. Much of Lynne's work this month focused on the holiday gift delivery. <br /> They delivered to thirty-nine seniors. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the calling, <br /> wrapping, and delivery. Thank you also to the Capers, Friends of the Council on Aging,New <br /> Seabury women's Club, and Hone Instead for their generous funding and support. <br /> Volunteers: This month, Lynne trained five new volunteer drivers. Hopefully, the additional <br /> drivers will help us meet the increasing demand for transportation. Lynne also coordinated, with <br /> the assistance of volunteer Barbara Pirozzi,the life story project with the Boys and Girls Club. <br /> Lynne distributed an article from the Mashpee Enterprise about this pilot program involving <br /> seniors and six young j ournali st students who write the Center's newsletter. This was the second <br /> meeting, and there will be another session in February on a Friday afternoon. <br /> M i Ct xo s: Lynne met with the Town's visiting nurse, Kathleen Ganey, to review her <br /> ease load and to assign her senior clients. <br /> VOLUNTEER R ASSISTA1 T REPORT: <br /> New Volunteers.- Phyllis Boudreau Thrift Shop Entertainment, Rae Grenlcr Driver, Myrna Fritz <br /> Newsletter/Friendly visiting, Doris weishaus NewsetterReceptionist, Janet Fortin <br /> ReceptionistIntergenerationl, Fat Bell Driver/Intergenerational. Lynne has been doing some of <br /> the initial interviews so that we can continue to process people in a timely manner, especially <br /> drivers. Interviews are scheduled for the first two weeks in January. At this time we are unable <br /> to fully process all new volunteers due to a delay in receiving LORI reports, but we are ready to <br /> go when they cone in. Our current needs for volunteers are drivers, data entry, and receptionist. <br />
