Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br /> Held Tuesday, December 19, 2017 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Plan Review Members Present: <br /> Michael Mendoza , Building Commissioner <br /> Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br /> Wayne Taylor, Assistant Town Manager <br /> Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> John Phelan, Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Katelyn Cadoret, Assistant Conservation Agent <br /> Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:16 a.m. <br /> Project Address: 13 Lake Ave, <br /> Business Name: Naukabout Beer Company <br /> Owner/Agent: Peter Meuner <br /> Representative: Peter Meuner <br /> Request: To update their site pian to adjust retaining walls, <br /> grading and outdoors ace. Plannin Board SP <br /> Peter Meuner appeared and stated he is here with 2 Plans—(1) is the existing approved Plan and (2) <br /> is the new Plan which is essentially looking at landscaping and outdoor space around the hill above <br /> the building. They are asking the Committee to approve the adjustment so they can take to the <br /> Planning Board for a Special Permit Modification. <br /> He said major changes are around the building---he said they are focusing efforts on the higher end <br /> of the property on top of the hill in order that the folks can have a view of the lake. Peter said the <br /> area around the building will have crushed shells and the areas on the hill will have natural covering <br /> such as grass, stone, or wood chips. <br /> Mike Mendoza advised that this did get approval by Design Review at today's meeting. Mike said he <br /> had a question about tables, chairs, trash for the outdoor seating area. <br /> Peter Meuner said they are limited to 46 seats. In winter, all inside. In nice weather they might have <br /> picnic tables, but will keep under 46 as Permit requires. <br /> Glen Harrington referred to the pre-meeting discussion and that this restaurant site had previously <br /> had 86+ seats inside so as long as they stay with 46 there is no problem inside or outside. Glen said <br /> regarding trash, as long as the area is kept clean then Board of Health has no issue with it. <br /> Glen asked about stairway at the hill area. Peter said it will be either stone or concrete pre-made <br /> stairs. Mike Mendoza asked if handrails are required with those. Glen Harrington commented that <br /> safety may be an issue. Mike suggested Peter Meuner may want to speak with his insurance <br /> provider since they may require handrails. <br />
