Naukabout Beer Company (continued)
Katelyn Cadoret read from Drew McManus' email that Conservation has no issue with the changes
and that because there are no changes subject to Conservation approval, the Conservation
Department will require submission of 2 copies of the revised plans.
Jack Phelan noticed the big difference change in elevation and asked if there will be a problem
traversing this area. Peter said there should be no problem. He believes the difference is about 2-
112 feet.
Jack asked what will separate that area from the woodlands. Jack is concerned that smoking near
brush area could present fire hazard. Peter said they are planning to have plantings between the
fence and flat area between where customers are and woods begin. He said they would be natural
plantings of blueberries, etc. Jack advised that when they create that area they should keep fire
access in mind. Peter said he will have the Fire Department check it out.
Jack noted that to leave the outdoor area they have to exit through the building so there should be
another emergency exit that doesn't go through the building. Peter said they will have a secondary
gate for emergency access. Jack said you can have an alarm attached to that since it's an
emergency exit.
Wayne Taylor asked how they will control the numbers to keep at 46 when moving from inside to
outside seating. Also, Wayne asked how will they contain alcohol from not going to the parking lot
area. Peter said that is a very important factor and they will watch it.
Mike asked if there are any thoughts or plans being discussed for entertainment. Peter said they are
going to apply for an entertainment Permit.
CONCLUSION
John Phelan motioned to accept the Plan as presented with the inclusion of a second means of
egress from the outdoor seating area. Glen Harrington seconded the motion.
Vote: 6-Yes. Unanimous.
Roll Call Vote:
Katelyn Cadoret, yes John Phelan, yes
Glen Harrington, yes Wayne Taylor, yes
Tom Fudala, yes Michael Mendoza, yes
Approval: of Minutes
Wayne Taylor motioned to accept the Minutes of Plan Review Committee Meeting of October 17,
2017; Tom Fudala seconded the motion; and the motion was passed, with Jack Phelan, Glen
Harrington, and Katelyn Cadoret abstaining.
2
