BYLAW REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> WE, DECEMBER 13,2017 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE <br /> Present: Edward Larkin,Deborah Dami,Margaret Santos, Andrew McManus, and Paul <br /> Robillard. <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent—DPW Director <br /> Ed Larkin, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Motion: Paul Robillard motioned to approve the minutes of the November 29, 2017 <br /> Bylaw Review Meeting; and Margaret Santos seconded this motion. <br /> VOTE: 5-Yes. Unanimous. <br /> Paul Robillard—yes Edward Larkin—yes Andrew McManus - yes <br /> Deborah Dami -yes Margaret Santos—yes <br /> Discussion with DPW Director regarding Bylaws impacting DPW <br /> Catherine Laurent said she went through the General Bylaws that affected DPW; and she <br /> provided comments pertaining to the following. <br /> On page 27 of the bylaws document,ARTICLE VI should be listed as ARTICLE V. Deb <br /> Dami said this is obviously a typo error and she will correct the document. <br /> §5-26—Appointment; Term of Office(Page 27). <br /> Catherine said DPW Director not appointed for a term. Ed said this should be corrected <br /> so it coincides with the Charter. No term set under the Charter. Deb Dami agreed and <br /> since the bylaw references the Charter Section 4-2(b)the Town Clerk can correct this <br /> section to read as stated in the Charter. <br />
