Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> May 9, 2006 <br /> Present: Wayne Taylor,Diane Rommelmeyer, Ed Larkin, Richard Halpern, <br /> Beverly Dane, Evelyn Buschenfeldt, Paula Peters, Ralph Shaw, <br /> Gus Frederic <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor _at 6;00 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Conference Room#I <br /> MMT S: <br /> Tuesday, April.2 5, Zoo g lar Session: <br /> Motion made by Mr.Larkin to approve the minutes of Tuesday, <br /> April 25,2006 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms. Rommelmeyer. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> Mr. Shaw abstained. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Emmy Merritt—Historic One Rpm Schoolhouse: <br /> Emmy Merritt, Mashpee One-Room Schoolhouse Preservation Committee <br /> (MOSPQ and Mashpee Women's Club representative was present to <br /> request the Cottee consider use of CPA funds for the completion of <br /> the Mashpee Historic One-Room Schoolhouse, circa 131. <br /> It was noted the MOSPC and Women's Club in conjunction with <br /> community support and fund raismn initiatives restored the little <br /> schoolhouse to reflect the model of a nineteenth century one-room <br /> schoolhouse in Zoo . It is the oldest one-room schoolhouse on Cape Cod. <br /> CPA funds are requested to furnish the schoolhouse to give the children <br /> and general public a valuable and educational opportunity to visit the <br /> unique historical treasure.
