i <br /> Communi'ty Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> May 2 ,20 <br /> Robin Blakeman—Creation of A 'cultural Center: (continued) <br /> Torn Fudala,the Town Planner was in attendance and gave high support to <br /> the project proposal, Mr. Fudala indicated this is an educational resource <br /> for the Town that preserves agriculture resources which is an important <br /> resource for the community versus development. <br /> Nr. Fudala recommended an APR or agricultural preservation restriction <br /> be placed on the subject property. The land would then be preserved in <br /> perpetuity for agr"culture use. <br /> Daniel Morast,vice-president of Orenda wildlife Frust also voiced his <br /> support for theproject to save the land from possible development. <br /> It was agreed that Ms. Peters and Mr. Larkm" would serge as subcommittee <br /> representatives to assist the,applicants to make revisions to the project <br /> application. <br /> It was noted that other-entities and organizations could also be considered <br /> for grant funding initiatives to support this type of program. <br /> Emma-JoMills Brennan—Mills Family La s Santuit Pond.- <br /> The <br /> nd.-The application of 6W lulls Brennan,Jeffrey A. Mills,and Elwood <br /> . Mills,, Jr.,an open space proposal to purchase approximately sixteen <br /> acres in the amount of$727,000 or$45,000 per acre)was reviewed. <br /> Paula Goldberg,Land Protection Specialist with the Compact of Cape Cod <br /> Conservation Trusts was in attendance to provide support for the project <br /> proposal. <br /> The acquisition of these lands would help protect the duality of the <br /> .ing water supply by preserving g lands within a ell-head protection <br /> zone and would preserve ars almost contiguous v ildli e corridor between <br /> Town conservation land and Santuit Pond. <br />
