The site of the subject location's the former Carol Jacobson
Senior Center. Presently, there are parking issuesn need of correction,
but due to funding constarahits the project was deferred from the Capital
Improvement Progarn CI budget.
If the application is successful, the Department of Public Works would
assist with the relocation and removal of the older playground equipment.
The DPW would also assist to provide labor to spread the wood fiber on
the playground to reduce the budget estimate by$575.
It was also noted that new guidelines require public playgrounds to be
accessible to the general population and are required to comply with ADA
standards.
