- i <br /> 2 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> June 1 , 200 <br /> LD BUSINESS: <br /> Deliberations: <br /> Upon review of the Community Preservation Funding Applications for the <br /> October 2006 Town Meeting; the CPC Committee continued the i <br /> deliberation process to meet the-July deadline requirement for placement <br /> on the fall warrant. <br /> An estimated revenue analysis was distributed and reviewed. (enclosed) <br /> Estimated revenues available to fund the CPA-projects-in fiscal year 2006 <br /> amount to $1,369,791. The figures are based upon a 98%collection rate, <br /> state matching funds, and the Cape Cod reimbursement for the purchase of <br /> Mahpee Place. <br /> The CPA requires a minimum of 10%of annual CPA receipts to be spent <br /> or reserved for future spending on open space (excluding recreational <br /> purposes),historic preservation, and community housing. The balance, <br /> 70%may be spent in any one of these areas including recreational' <br /> purposes. The money is cumulative and can be spent in subsequent years.. <br /> The Committee utilized the Community Preservation Funding Application <br /> general criteria and category specific Brite a in conjunction with the <br /> evaluation worksheet to rank the project submissions in an equal manner. <br /> It was agreed the Committee would further define the application and <br /> related guidelines and criteria for ease of distinction at a future rneetffig.. <br /> The Committee reviewed the applications as listed on the evaluation <br /> worksheet. <br /> i ' <br />
