4 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> June 131 Zoo <br /> Agriculture Education Center T-.$195,500: <br /> It was noted the application received from Michael and Wendy Mirto and <br /> Robin Blakeman was deemed complete meeting all applicable criteria. <br /> However,there are additional questions regarding the agriculture <br /> preservation restriction (APR). It is also necessary for the applicant to <br /> revise several items in the project proposal that cannot be CPA funded. <br /> Motion made by lis.Kane to defer~the,agriculture Education Center <br /> proposal to May 2007. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Halpern, <br /> 'VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> The applicant will be encouraged to rc-work heir application for funding <br /> consideration at the May 2007 Town Meeting. <br /> Herita ark—Phase 1 - $195,500: <br /> The benefit of the above referenced project to the youth of Ma hpee was <br /> regarded highly. It was disclosed,the applicant was receptive to questions <br /> regarding the project and'complied with the sensitive issue of storm water <br /> management and use of organic fertilizers. The project to construct <br /> softball baseball field, a multi-purpose field that includes the installation <br /> new irrigation well has been an ongoing request since 2001. There is also <br /> Town-Wide support for the project that would provide playing fields for <br /> youth and adult sports organizations. <br /> Discussion followed relative to the importance of the project and timing <br /> with respect to seeding the fields yrs. the use of sod. <br /> Heritage Park—Phase 11 - X379,500: <br /> The project timeline was considered. In an effort to complete Phase I in a <br /> tamely manner, it was agreed the project would most likely be deferred <br /> although a cost savings may be realized in labor and materials. <br />
