Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 17, 2007 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Catherine Laurent—I erica a Park Enansion Phase 1L $3373000 <br /> Correspondence was received from Catherine Laurent dated November <br /> 2% 2006 relative to questions.raised at the November 1, 2006 CPC <br /> Committee meeting. Additional information was provided in the <br /> memorandum regarding the number of participants projected to use the <br /> playing fields in the spring and fall programs. <br /> FIs. Laurent was unable to attend the meeting due to scheduling conflicts. <br /> There were no additional questions from the Committee. <br /> Brad Tripp—Tennis Courts Maintenance Schedule: <br /> Quashnet Tennis Court Reconstruction: $104,000 <br /> Brad Tripp school Facilities Manager was in attendance to discuss the <br /> tennis courts maintenance schedule as previously outlined to the CFC <br /> Committee. The Mashpee High School tennis coach was also present for <br /> discussion poses. <br /> It was noted that all maintenance would be conducted in-house. It was <br /> disclosed CPA funding sloes not provide monies for maintenance. <br /> Discussion followed regarding the mandates of the Town Charter. <br /> In the natter of safety, Mr. Tripp prioritized the Quashnet Tennis Court <br /> reconstruction project for CPA funding. The courts were poorly designed <br /> and lacked proper construction. The Quashnet courts have been out of <br /> service for a number of years. The project has also been an ongoing <br /> request in the capital 'improvement program budget. A cost estimate was <br /> received from the Lawrence Lynch Corporation in the amount of$103,500 <br /> to reconstruct the court adding an additional ' to the tennis court side <br /> abutting the baseball field and an additional 2' to the basketball court side <br /> abutting the parking lot. The cost estimate as disclosed would allow for a <br /> double tennis court and a basketball court. <br />
